The Open Architecture Research Group is a research association focused on drawing in architecture.
Drawing is at the core of the association's productions. GRAOU explores research through drawing as a tool for knowledge production in the fields of architecture and urbanism. Drawing facilitates the understanding of complex situations, the dissemination of notable examples, and the envisioning of desirable futures.
The association leverages representation tools to unveil possibilities more suited to contemporary crises. It advocates for a responsible and adaptable spatial planning approach to address spatial inequalities and environmental challenges. GRAOU draws inspiration from so-called 'open' modes of living, constituting their spatial analysis, representation, and dissemination.
